Manushi Chhillar, the winner of Miss World 2017, has announced that she will be making her Telugu debut in the upcoming action film VT13 alongside actor Varun Tej. The film, based on the Indian Air Force, will be directed by ad filmmaker and cinematographer Shakti Pratap Singh Hada and produced by Sony Pictures International Productions and Renaissance Pictures. Manushi will play the role of a radar officer, while Varun will play an air force pilot in the drama inspired by true events.
In a statement, Manushi expressed her excitement about the project, saying, “I am elated to be a part of this incredible spectacle filled with action and working with Sony Pictures International Productions and Renaissance Pictures.” The film is set to begin shooting simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi on Friday.
Manushi made her acting debut in 2022 in the historical film Samrat Prithviraj opposite Akshay Kumar. She will also be seen in the upcoming comedy The Great Indian Family alongside Vicky Kaushal and in the John Abraham-starrer Tehran, set to be released later this year.
